This card is a debit card, which means that the money has to be in the account in order for you to buy anything 
with it. The Current card is aimed at teenagers who have no previous credit experience, but want the freedom of a credit card without the risks. There is no grueling approval process and you don’t have the problem of getting into debt. This card is great for teenagers because there is a set spending limit so parents can control how much they can spend. Money can be deposited through bank accounts or credit cards. There are also discounts given by certain stores and merchants, supposedly places popular by teenagers. There is no minimum balance and there are no credit checks. It’s easy to order items online or through the phone, both of which are nearly impossible without some form of card. There is also the benefit of being able to use ATM’s which means that if you need cash it won’t be hard to get it, there are ATM’s everywhere. However there are some downsides to a debit card, for one your credit will not improve like it would with a credit card. The credit bureau also does not check your account very often.
